The six foot high welded steel entry gate is computer controlled to limit facility entry to only Sierra's customers and staff.  Normal gate access hours are 6AM to 10PM seven days a week, all year!  Other access hours can be arranged by contacting the facility managers.  The walk way ramp just inside the entry gate allows convenient access to the office and retail store without leaving the facility!

Note that the exterior of each building and the parking areas are equipped with automatically controlled light fixtures to provide round-the-clock lighting.



Digital keypads for entry and exit automatically activate the gate when the correct unit and security codes are entered.  Both keypads are accessible without leaving your vehicle!  All gate activity is recorded and dated by the facility's central computer.  Intercoms at both keypads allow you to contact the office without leaving your car.



The Sierra facility employs a number of strategically located solid state cameras to continuously monitor all major access points to the facility.  From the store and office to the entry gate and then to each driveway, digital signal processing assures that all cameras are continuously recorded to tape in near real time.  All images are digitally date and time stamped for easy future reference.  Well placed signage makes it clear to any intruders that 24 hour video monitoring covers this facility.



The Sierra facility is completely fenced with new commercial grade six foot high chain link fencing with welded steel at the main entry and gate.  Security wire atop the six foot high chain link makes covert entry to the property a real challenge!  Daily checks by the facility management assure the continuous integrity of the fencing.



Each storage unit door at the Sierra facility is individually alarmed and continuously monitored by our central computer.  When entering the facility, the computer recognizes an authorized entry from the keypad and displays this unit access graphically in the large status display in the office.  When leaving, the exit keypad alerts the computer to rearm your unit alarm and then changes the display status.  An unauthorized entry to any unit immediately sounds the alarm sirens and alerts the office staff at the computer to immediately investigate.  Like the gate access, all door accesses to all units are recorded by the computer system.



Each storage unit has its own steel slide bolt sized to accept virtually any brand, style and size of padlock.  We do offer quality new locks at our retail store, but you're free to provide any type or style of lock you choose!  You keep your keys.  You control who has access to your unit.
